This is what the exhaust port looks like after porting and mild polishing. You can see the smoothing on the valve guide boss from the outside. Careful here, there's a water passage inside of it.
Same port, different angle. You can see some casting imperfections still. Remember, this was a conservative port job by a first timer.
A close up of the intake bowl after clean up. It looks much better after the carbide burr worked on it but still could use some smoothing and polishing from a cartridge roll.
